Jeff Head from Birmingham is an SEC ump. He played baseball at Bama. He is a good guy. He was an excellent youth baseball and football player at Hoover Athletic Association. My little guy at the time and Jeff played on the same teams starting with T Ball at age 6 in 1968. His dad coached the baseball teams for several years. I was assistant coach for four years. Lots of good memories of those years

I'm just throwing this out there, not as an excuse-in-advance……but is it possible our hitters are having a hard time seeing the ball after the sun goes down and the lights come on? I've seen several comments about how weird/poor the lighting is in that park. Seems like we're doing most of our damage in the sunlight.

I could be totally FOS. But just something I've noticed the last couple of nights

I was there Friday and Saturday night. I don't think lighting is an issue I recall the outfield lights angled heavily towards the field, more than most
