Stanford is REALLY good.

So is west coast baseball generally know to be weaker? Honestly asking as I know nothing about it.
Really? That is surprising.MaroonStain said:
They have played 0 games against Q1 competition. ZERO. How many teams have they played that are in Regionals? What was the outcome?

He meant to say Stanford has played zero teams in the top 25. Q1 is too 50
The Cali teams are geographically isolated so it really skews RPI. They don't have a short drive to midweek teams like the Big 12, SEC, ACC do. DBU, Sam, Troy, Campbell, Coastal... All in easy reach for folks in the East. In Cali you either play Irvine, Fullerton, etc (and have real risk of losses) or you don't. And even those teams have been pretty mediocre/bad in recent memory.Hungry Ojos said:Wrecking Crew 21 said:

We've beaten WAY better teams than Stanford this year. Consistently.
... And we've lost to MUCH worse teams than Stanford this year. Consistently.
None of us has any idea which team will show up tonight, so I'm not gonna sweat it until first pitch.

It's the internet... People who know nothing post things that are wrong and then claim to know everything. #Beware

It makes it very hard to compare stats, RPI, SOS, etc

Their SOS is 38, not terrible. The Aggie's is 9. But some of our worst games have been against bad competition so not sure what the his means.
