The "meaningless" argument is about how this game affects the NCAA tourney. And it doesn't affect it at all.


You might be as dumb as they come. It means a lot. It means moving from a 3 seed to a 2. It means figuring out pitching. It means getting momentum. It means they showed themselves they can beat anyone.

You should probably just stop posting at this point

We've been projected as a 2 seed since the last win. Hell, half of the projections showed us as a 2 after the first win in Hoover.


So you're admitting this tournament means something

In regards to the NCAA tourney, winning one or two in Hoover meant something. Today's result wouldn't have changed our NCAA fate.
That was the original point of someone saying "meaningless" in this thread, and they were correct.

Absolutely. So I guess I'm supposed to do cartwheels over leaving a crap ton of people on base?

For all the success we've had this week, the offense has actually been pretty average. Not bad, but certainly not as good as they have been for large stretches of this year. Pitching has been carrying us.

I can't believe those words just came from my fingers…….but here we are
