Great pitching tonight from the bullpen!
Now, if we can just get the bats warmed up, we will be great!
Moss at least made solid contact a few times. Targac.... hit into a DP and struck out a lot.W said:
hide the women and children...here's the damage at the plate tonight:
Moss, Targac, and Trevor combined to go 0 for 17
the 3 different centerfielders in the 7-hole combined to go 0 for 4
Kent in the 8-hole was 0 for 6
Haas had 1 hit. Jace had 2 hits. Bost had 2 hits.
the much-maligned catching position combined for 2 hits.
overall the Ags were 7 for 51 without an x-base hit

Cheers to the best board on TexAgs on this W
This community just hits different. See y'all next time
Start mixing in a few hits we might have a potent offense. (fingers crossed)W said:
and thanks to 16 more walks tonight...
A&M has drawn a mind-blowing 93 walks in 11 games
add in the 10 HBP...
and the Ags have been given 103 free baserunners in 11 games -- crazy stuff
AND YET, WE STILL FOUND A WAY TO WINW said:

Back on page 65 of this thread, I called it that we would win it in the 16thAggie12B said:
Gotta Have another Clean inning here, AGS
Then we WILL WIN IT in the 16th
I have good, or at least mildly good, confidence in our veterans turning things around. The one I have a lot of concern with is Werner. He looks completely lost at the plate this year. Love the guy, but man he needs to work some things out. And quick.Complete Idiot said:
I tapped out around the 11th inning, great to see the Ags pulled it out. We definitely blew scoring opportunities early in the regular frames, and TT seemed to blow some late scoring opportunities.
After 8 games we were 160th in team batting average, just need to get some upperclassmen - players we know are capable of producing at the plate - to get going. Get experienced guys going at the plate has obvious benefits but one of them is taking pressure off new guys in the program. It will happen but we are getting close to the LSU series. Some weaker opponents coming up so maybe this is an opportunity to get some confidence and relaxation at the plate.
