Who'd have thought 13 free passes and some errors to boot would've made it hard to win?

Whoever we play on Sunday is an easier team to play against than this one.BBRex said:

I don't have a TV so I'm not starting at the bar to watch two of my least favorite teams in any sport. ... But maybe tomorrow.swimmerbabe11 said:

The fact that this team is in Omaha is incredible/incredulous/unbelievable. This team has big flaws and they've played WELL beyond their realistic ceiling.
At the beginning of the year with 20+ transfers and my work situation I said, "I'm just skipping this season.". And it looked like a good decision. Then I was intrigued by the LSU, Vandy series, etc etc. I was ... "cautiously optimistic" with the Schloss hire, Definitely didn't feel it was a home run. But it seems I was ridiculously wrong.
This team is a cobbled together mess of parts due to the transition. Very flawed, very talented and very confident (or dumb or clueless, whatever). They never know when they're "supposed" to give up. They're imperfect but oh so fun to watch. So I'll run up to Omaha Sunday just to say I've seen them. It may it may not be their last game but I need to see em in person at least once. They've earned that and so much more.
No, the NCAA effs seeding up enough as it is, don't give them another shot to eff it up more.BLSD said:
The entire CWS should be "re-seeded" following the Super Regionals.

Amen. I promise you Schloss will fix our issues by next year. We will have MUCH BETTER pitching and defense with him in the future.
It's amazing that we are in OMAHA with the style we play. It's been so fun to watch this team, even with our defencencies.

Call me a coward but I'd rather face Notre Dame Sunday. I think it's the better matchup for us
Well, the argument can be made that when we threw strikes bad things happened so.....BLSD said:Ags77 said:Sean98 said:

100% agree, but this pitching staff is better than what they've rolled out lately. It's hard for me to believe that we don't have ONE kid who can throw strikes. Everyone of them have pitched their entire careers and this is DIVISION ONE!!!
The past is not either Schoss' nor this team's fault but keep beating that dead horse if it makes you feel any better.BigDave21 said:

But are they?? Dettmer caught fire for a month but other than that we were pretty much **** all year. I think there are arms here that can and will play big. But this has never been a real good staff.

Why does this matter?
The first 8 losses have nothing to do with this team.
If our was only 2 errors then there was a VERY generous scorerTexas A&M said:

Pretty much another Aggie team wilting on the biggest stage. Here's hoping they turn it around for the next game.
I'm sure my memory is failing me, but other than Manziel's '12 team, I can't remember one of our teams (big three sports) that flourished under the brightest of lights in the last 30 years.

With any decent starting pitcher performance , we will be fine. It doesn't matter to me which one we get, they are both good.

You may be right, but dang it's hard to believe. There are kids, who can pitch, who would kill for the chance to pitch for Texas A&M. We need some kids to STEP UP!!!

That's the real sad part, our wounds were self inflicted. Take those away and I really think we hold them to less than 8 runs.
