Most of the kids on my 8 yr old team can get a bunt down. Bunting and base running for us has been really frustrating for many years.

This will sound stupid, but I bet a lot of our guys were rarely asked to bunt in HS. They were the star player and no HS coach was going to take a bat out of their hand.

I get that, but they're also on an elite team with an elite coaching staff that has consistently taken this team to the CWS, and we can't figure out what Little League teams around the world have figured out.

I must confess as well. I have been unable to have my normal drink or baking/cooking going on. I will be doing some venison burgers later this game though.

They also play on Summer teams where they aren't necessarily the top dog like on their HS team.

But the saber crowd doesn't value bunting as much, so it may continue to become a lost art.
