This is why we say baseball is sometimes baseball. Yesterday, Xavier played mistake free baseball. They hit every ball hard when our pitchers missed. They made tons of fielding plays - legit Olympic theme plays. Their pitchers hit spots and our guys couldn't see anything. Today totally different. It's why we love baseball so much.

Certainly good to see the more experienced guys produce, but Xavier's staff ran out of arms real fast after game 2.

Lots to work on this week and plenty of opportunities coming up this weekend.

Great outing for Childress. Technically Magers is credited with the win. So I've always wondered why it is that a starting pitcher can pitch 4.2 innings and not qualify for the win, but can be charged for the loss if only pitching 0.1 and allowing the game winning run? And what exactly is the determining factor on who does get the win? Pitcher of record when the winning team takes the lead, or most innings pitched, or...???

so the guy throws a shut out in his first game back in 2 years and the only thing you can comment on is that? get a life man. those guys read these things. be better.
