A bright side in all this is it appears nobody wants to host our pitching staff. A lot of internet chatter is saying so...

Funny thing is we fear our own bats more than we do just playing other teams. For example do we doubt we can beat UCLA if our bats show up? The Vandy and Arky series make that quite clear...

Vandy and Arkie don't pitch like us or UCLA. That's a terrible matchup for us. Okie Lite is a pretty mediocre pitching staff that we'll be able to hit some against particularly later in the tournament.

Actually, playing the 3 seed, we should be the Home team in game 1. And for what it's worth, there's little to no difference between being a 2 or 3 seed since they play each other in game 1.

Playing a 2 seed quality team the first game versus playing a 3 seed quality team does mean something

I think it would also mean that we wouldn't be able to host a Super unless the 3 or 4 from our paired regional wins theirs... and I don't think Davidson makes the it this year.

For regionals that's impossible. Can't go to a regional hosted by an SEC opponent.

They don't officialy seed the 2's but I'm guessing we'll be in Lubbock, Stillwater or Chapel Hill. I don't want UCLA or Corvallis as both of those teams pitch like we do. We want a host that is offense oriented with a mediocre staff which is Okie Lite to a T. Our pitching can be suffocating and we've proven that our weak offense is scratch a few across against mediocre pitching.

Maybe the bats can get somewhat hot, it wouldn't take much. 1-2 runs might have one the last two.

Once both paired 1 seeds lose, it goes down to a bidding system so being a 3 wouldn't matter.

Not that there's any chance that we are a three...
