I agree. The Raggies come and go and have good years and bad, but this year I just flat don't hear any heckling at all. I suppose a few people are saying a few things, but there just isn't any uniform effort to rattle the opposition throughout the game.

I took my daughter to the Dad/Daughter night at the softball game Friday. The SugarDaddies reminded me much more of the Raggies than the recent Raggies do.

Really miss the Raggies and know the students can bring it back with great success if enough people encourage it.

Didn't they change some student seating to reserved this year.

I didn't know that but it would certainly explain what I've seen. I hope that's not the case

201 and 202 are not student anymore. Visiting fans get first 5 or so rows of 201.

I noticed that at the game as well on Tuesday, but wrote it off as being a Tuesday game.

I really don't get why our AD makes decisions like this. Total crap

In my case, I'm pretty sure this is true. And not because I was any good, but because a boatload of 203 left college station the same time as me.

I think a bunch of us left 205/206 after 2008 as well. And 206 went reserved not long after.

The first 4 rows at least pretty much cleared out 09/10. A few still there in 11, but not really.

Late 80's early 90's raggies for sure.

Hell they even went to this guy's record setting high school game and ragged.

The "Raggies" were good for the game. I witnessed Auggie Garrido getting some of their best one Friday night. Wacha was pitching. Auggie tried to hide his grin and hide, but they had him listening and laughing in the dugout.. Good times.

I often think back to my section 206 first row between innings shenanigans with Lance Uppercut aggieband and crew...the legacy lived on after us, but it is sad to hear it is dwindeling if true

We went to the game in Austin a few weeks ago and at least a few were out in force right behind us. In fact, too close behind us...but it was funny.

Oh screw that.

We're still here and still heckling. You guys are fishing for other excuses why we are having a down year. You wouldn't be complaining if we were rolling through conference play. BTHO Auburn and to our friend Josh Anthony...

Lest we forget that A&M took away two of our sections that are never full of these so called "season ticket holders" unless it's a big weekend. This was an hour before the game yesterday. All four sections could have been packed too. Also, you're telling me A&M is eventually going to turn all of the seats into reserved seating? Well, you can kiss whatever atmosphere we've been having goodbye.

Long live 203.

Truth (except I was 205, but I've grown weary of the numbers deal)
Those were great times

Blame Wally Geoff. He openly expressed how he was "embarassed" by the Raggies' actions when he was AD, and started the ball rolling to restrict their actions.

Man... The glory days of 205 were good days. Sad I live in Austin or I'd be at a lot more games.

Didn't mean students weren't showing up.
Just that the chants and coordinated "ragging" seems to bemuch less prevalent.

I miss it. Always a great part of the game atmosphere.

At present, most of the coordination comes down to yelling the pitchers name, heckling first base coach about not being in the box or having his hands on his hips, and of course the infamous ball five. Two days ago, we did have one that popped up for auburns third baseman because that poor guy had initially was going to the Braves but I had his contract rescinded. One of us yelled "what did the braves tell you?" And the rest of us begin the war chant while saying "no?" It's mostly spontaneous without a lot of practice.

I think I've heard "dirty old man" one time this season. Maybe more but not near as often as I used to. Can't remember hearing "teaser" once. Again maybe its been done but just haven't heard it much. Don't mean to come off as complaining, just miss the atmosphere.

And yes, I'm at every game.

My only complaint with the current crop of Raggies is that they are sometimes too wedded to their shtick to stoop to such mundane things as joining (or preferably instigating) things that would get the entire fan base going. For example, when we have a rally going, it would be easy to get everyone involved in something like clapping. The current Raggies seem to view that as passe, instead opting to just merely yell the pitcher's name. When they do deign to lead something like that, which only seems to happen when we are trailing in the 9th, they do it so slow that the rest of the fans won't join in, and it's still centered around yelling the pitcher's name.

Going to games should be fun, and I'm glad these folks are having a good time, but I think the Olsen experience could be better for everyone if they would adapt their act slightly. I'm not asking them to go back to doing what we did in my time--the crowds were smaller in the '80s, so that you could be heard on the field from anywhere in the granstand-but the atmosphere was much better in the late '90s, when crowds were even larger. Back then, when the Aggies had a rally going, the place was rocking. Now, it's like a rally is just a distraction from the act.

Donely reason we've only said "dirty old man" once is because only one coach has actually touched his players butt.

This year. Clear bags and I think the girl doing it the last few was the usher for the section. They replaced all those this year it appears with the event company that does football parking.

There's a whole story attached with that. We can't get them in because of the clear bag policy.

Has anyone asked if the Diamond Darlings or ground crew could hold them or store them for y'all?

We've talked to Rick, but it's all a matter of getting them from Statboy. He's no longer in college station, so it's difficult.

In fact I'll ask today.
