LSU you might be right, they are on fire. USC I believe they were or were not a National Seed before the tournament started. Personally I don't think they were, because I had Florida as the National Seed even though they were a lower seeded team.

I believe this is an incredibly important question that none of us know the answer to yet.

-Moroney 3-4 with an RBI and stolen base. His average is .355 now. I love that he's getting his shot and making the most of it

-Homan 2-3 with an RBI and walk

-Hill goes 7.0 IP with 8 Ks

-Kilkenny throws 4 pitches to get out of the 8th inning

-Banks with a great catch to rob a homer

-Ecker strikes out 2 on his way to his 5th save

Pretty impressive team effort to bounce back from yesterday and win a game against a tough South Carolina team.

I had Fla, us and OM as locks and either LSU, Vandy or USCe taking a 4th slot if they played really well/won it given the depth of the field in Hoover. In that sense USCe played their way out of a slot.

Trying to get comfortable with this... kinda hard when 3 of the top 4 teams in the country are currently playing in the same tournament, right?

The closer we get to playing on Saturday, the more realistic the "lock" feels.

I see what you are saying there. I took the earlier reference to be that they were a National seed and lost it, which I do not think was the case. But if they would have go undefeated in the tourny could they have gotten one? Maybe so.

We are good. Thanks. Just super heavy rain and lighting right across street. It looks like it touched down about 1/4 mile away and moved just past us. One of my son's friends had damage at their house. Blew garage door into garage. Fence demolished. AC unit literally in back yard.

Great pitching effort by Hill. What a fantastic year he's had. SC has a great offensive lineup and he shut them down twice. Nice relief appearance from Kill. I bet he takes a huge step next season. Ecker was great also. Despite a "fluke" swing for a second day in a row. Nice work, Banks. Moroney is on fire. Great to see him ending his career with that kind of production. Homan has had a great tourney despite the 5 pages covering his failed bunt attempt. For all of his trouble at the plate, Melton made one hell of a clutch snag. Saving those two runs was the biggest play in the game.
