Vines' season ERA is around 4.50.
his ERA in conference games is about 6.67.

the Ags' home/road pitching splits in conference play are off the charts:
the staff has allowed 19 runs (earned + unearned) in the 9 SEC games at Blue Bell ---> just over 2 runs per game.
the staff has allowed 82 runs in the 11 SEC road games ---> about 7.5 runs per game.
in only 1 road game have A&M's opponents scored less than 5 runs (game 1 vs. State)
the staff has allowed 19 runs (earned + unearned) in the 9 SEC games at Blue Bell ---> just over 2 runs per game.
the staff has allowed 82 runs in the 11 SEC road games ---> about 7.5 runs per game.
in only 1 road game have A&M's opponents scored less than 5 runs (game 1 vs. State)

I knew it was bad but................wow........
After Vines' 5 earned in 0.1 IP, the bullpen put together 10.2 IP only giving up 2 more earned.
Ecker was great today. 4.1 IP, 1 earned, 8 Ks, and quite important for a team that's started walking people, 0 walks.
Some of the guys that have had smaller roles so far had better performances: Kolek, Kilkenny, and Sherrod all filled in admirably.
The stats on the starters, especially on the road, are startling to say the least. And for some of the upperclassmen coming out of the pen. We'll probably continue to see starting roles and the order we see people from the bullpen continue to change in the upcoming weekends. It's a pitching staff "in progress", even though we don't have that much of the schedule left to play.
At 4.40, A&M's SEC Team ERA is actually #7 in the SEC, with a pretty big jump until #8 Mississippi State. 5 teams have SEC ERAs over 5.
