We have had lots of guys use drag bunts for sac tries. If a guy is a good hunter and fast they often do this. I would like to see a ruling where this was called.
That was not part of pointing out that the announcer had no clue what he was talking about.

I like the Glavine vs. Maddux comment. Did they ever pitch against each other.?

You can be charged an AB if the scorer thinks you tried to bunt for a hit. The scorers in college ball rarely do this, they'll protect the averages of their players. Regardless of intention, the large majority of scorers I've seen this year award the sacrifice.

It is an interesting debate. What is the right approach with this guy? He throws like 80% strikes. I've seen him start a guy off as slow as 69mph so you can't sit dead red fastball. At this point I think I am on board with being aggressive on first pitch.

I wasn't arguing that at all. But a 3 for 3 one day doesn't mean to expect an 0-fer the next day either. I think we are on the same page here, again, let's all just get back to the game. The incessant whining around here is getting awful enough where I'm about to just go log off.
