37 pitches thru 4. Great work offense!
quote:I'm not saying we have looked great at the plate today, but you play 9 innings for a reason and confidence changes quite quickly if a couple hits get strung together. It's funny how facing a really good pitcher all of a sudden means lack of confidence.quote:
I was telling them to just let it go. Whoever started talking about confidence and only mentioned Banks just wanted to be miserable. Not the person pointing out Nau looks good too. Guess that wasn't clear, sorry.
What? They don't look confident. Have you seen a whole lot of confident ABs? That doesn't make me miserable. I didn't say this game is over. You took a giant leap man and stretched my observation way out.

This announcer is an idiot.
It's not recorded as a sac bunt if you attempt to bunt for a hit.
Yes it is
Section 8
Exception
If, in the judgement of the official scorer, the batter is bunting primarily for a base hit, do not score a sacrifice. Instead, charge the batter with a time at bat.
Lol, you've just been dying for an opportunity to get someone with that huh? Well that's news to me, but I assure you. If you move a runner over on a bunt and are out, you get credited with a sac.
We have had lots of guys use drag bunts for sac tries. If a guy is a good hunter and fast they often do this. I would like to see a ruling where this was called.

Yesterday was unwatchable. Today feels more like the Cal series.
quote:Independent trials. The last AB has no effect on the outcome of the next 7 trials. If he is a "true .300 hitter", he will be around that average for a season, because each AB has a 30% chance of being a hit. Stats are fun!
That would put him batting over .500...
The answer is he is most likely to go 0 for 7...
