I'm sure this has been posted, but I'm too lazy to look right now. At any rate!

Now that we're away from the arrogant bully and moved on to bigger and better things, which team out of the SEC do you consider our next big rivalry. I believe I heard this briefly talked about on TexAgs radio, but it didn't get too far.

Side Note:
One of the best parts of being in the SEC I've noticed is the respect and support among member institutions and fans.

Not sure how to do polls here (not enough stripes or rank maybe?) If someone can do it, would be a nice little conversation piece for us Fighting Aggies.

Auburn or Alabama

LSU, Bama, maybe Ole Miss

LSU

LSU. We have the history, we recruit against each other and once we start beating them, it'll be legit.

Arkansas will be good again, it's relatively close and we'll have recruiting battles to along with a long history. That rivalry will resume and will build into something fun in the upcoming years.

We'll have to have continue playing like this against Alabama to build up a rivalry. Also, it's not a real rivalry unless both sides feel that way and they already have Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia and LSU as rivals. We can develop a rivalry, but it won't be big for them for a LONG time - if ever.

It's always been LSU. It will always be LSU. It's the most impt game on the schedule next year.

LSU.

1. They are the closest SEC school.
2. We share a long state border.
3. We compete heavily for recruits in each other's State.
4. We have a fairly long history with them.
5. A lot of their Alumni live in Texas (especially in my home town - Houston)
6. A lot of our alumni live in Louisiana
7. My favorite daughter-in-law played softball for them.
8. My favorite daughter-i-law is the only person from Louisiana whom I don't intensely dislike.
9. Most of their student body is crude, rude and unpleasant.
9. I want to beat them more than any other team.

Based on what has happened the last 2 weeks on the indoor track, it might be Florida.

Bama and LSU.

LSU and Arkansas. It always has been and always will be.

LSU, period. Anyone who doesn't already realize this will within ht next few years.

I think people will really start to enjoy the SC game now that we are playing every year. Especially as long as the ol ball coach is there

LSU; they were rivals back in the day (albeit OoC) and they will be in the future.

Simple answer is LSU, due to proximity & history.
At this point though, I don't think LSU views A&M as a rival.
With A&M/LSU now being played on T-Day weekend, I think this 'rivalry' grows significantly …. on both sides.

Arkansas is a natural rival, due to our LONG history.

South Carolina, over time, should evolve into a very good 'rivalry-like' series.

The Florida track head coach had to be physically restrained from attacking Pat Henry, there is a nice little rivalry forming there.

LSU easily...

and A&M once had Athletic Director who said A&M would NEVER schedule LSU in football again.

Never is a long, long time.

That athletic director never should have been the athletic director either.

LSU, but not on mutual level from their side, which reduces a rivalry on overall basis.

LSU makes sense in terms of location. Plus their fans tend to be obnoxious and annoying.

If the Bama game continues to have close outcomes, it will continue to get more and more hype. It could be an intense rivalry that naturally develops.

Yeah...that makes sense.

I'm thinking South Carolina...Columbia also has a great football atmosphere. Great fanbase as well! This could be a great rivalry for years to come! Gig em' Aggies!
