But an American player that played 1 or 2 years in college and then turned pro and now has 2 years of experience in the Gleague is a red line?
Both are 22 year olds with pro experience. I don't get the logic of a "no take backs" style argument that says once an American kid turns pro their college eligibility goes up in flames. They have LESS pro experience than the Euros yet we're accusing these American kids of ruining college basketball? The wild theories of an actual NBA player coming back are asinine. Minimum salary in the NBA is like 2 million. NIL deals aren't going to pay that for a scrub that wants to come back to the NCAA.
Newsflash, Dybantsa is getting paid Millions to be a mercenary at an LDS school. Boozer is getting paid millions. The game is full of paid players all over the place. And somehow, I'm supposed to worry about a couple of Gleague washouts trying to play one more year of college ball? That's the red line for some of you?
You can think the argument is weak all you want, but you're a fool not to recognize that the Bediako's and Nnaji's of the world are not the ones ruining the purity of amateur college basketball. That sham ship has sailed.
