I love how ESPN goes on and on about Auburns home court crowd/andvantage and yet we somehow have a really good road record against them the last 10 years or so. Glad it's continuing with Bucky.

It was nauseating watching the ESPN FPI percentage plummet from 97% Aggies after seemingly every play inside a minute.

I think they looked at who had possession when play was stopped. They hadn't heaved it yet, so they retained the possession. It's treated like an inadvertent whistle at that point

It makes a huge difference on who gets the ball. If the ball is in the air, the officials give the ball to the team that would have had possession of the play had continued. That is A&M because it sailed out the end line.

The under 4 timeout came at 3:52. We were outscored 15-7 after that because we quit doing what we do. I'll take the win but it might not have been as stressful had we run the offense that built the lead.
That was one of the more wild things I've ever seen in Aggie Sports. The whole arena celebrated not once, but one time then silence then another huge celebration. Buckys speech impediment was flaring in that post game interview hahah

To be fair, Pop put the officials in a tough spot there. To the naked eye at full speed it was not clear that ball hit the rim.
Just went and looked -- Pearl was not out on the court but he was in the ref's ear on the sideline, and the ref blew the whistle after the heave was already in the air. Could have literally waited 0.3 seconds and then reviewed to save themselves the drama. Crazy stuff.

Missing the FT was the correct play to make with 2.4 seconds to play, especially after LSU was able to advance the ball 94 feet twice on inbounds plays in the final 4.2 seconds.
Of all the blunders in the game, the biggest blunder was made by Steven Pearl, who used Auburn's final TO between the first and second FT's. This was a horrific coaching error. His dad must be shocked to see such incompetence. It basically allowed A&M to miss on purpose.

Before the reversal I was pretty ticked about the officiating. Ang before you think, typical Ag. No, not really, I quit worrying about officiating a long time ago bc it just took any enjoyment out of the games for me.
But for some reason, this one had gotten to me. After the original call that the shot was made, I had to go outside and let off some steam. I was pretty happy the review went our way.
