Maybe I didn't read closely enough but what's the reason?
With no Logan or Hop around anymore, I doubt we'll ever really know.
Does anyone really cover A&M basketball anymore?
Not really.

I don't think they knew from some of the stuff they were saying, at least not for a long while.
I heard he's averaging a double double for the Brazos County Detention CenterFanatic15...Drs2B! said:
Speaking of Marble, is he playing anywhere this year?
Last I heard, he had entered the Portal as a grad transfer...

It also depends on the staff. Buzz runs a ship without many windows.
TBH it's our LACK of program turnover in the age of the Portal that's insane. Player after player has taken advantage of their COVID year to stay and play. Buzz players who get any kind of minutes just don't leave the program until every second of their eligibility is used.Topher17 said:
Buzz has done an awesome job of beefing up our non-con schedule each of the last few seasons, but I wouldn't be surprised if next year we dial it back a little bit. The program turnover is going to be really insane.

100% the lack of turnover we have had is an anomaly. The near complete lack of turnover the last several years is precisely why we'll have a complete turnover this coming year. Buzz was building to this from a continuity perspective. It will just be very stark when we take the floor next year without basically the same six guys who have gotten a ton of minutes for 3-4 straight years.Adam87inSA said:TBH it's our LACK of program turnover in the age of the Portal that's insane. That makes it's really difficult for FR to even get into the bench rotation much less start.
The result this year is a 10 deep rotation this season of mostly seniors and grad students with a few juniors thrown in. This team has a chance to do something really special this year, but it will be an almost total rebuild next year.
Buzz has shown good skill getting immediate contributors from the portal so it may not be the end of the world.
This isn't true if you're looking at playing minutes. By KenPom's "minutes continuity" we're #8 out of 350+ teams, and second among the power conference teams (Notre Dame.)Quote:
That's pretty much the national average. We don't really have any more continuity than anyone else.
