Alright Ags, we're one month from tip off. How are we feeling?
Last year's prediction thread: Most predictions came in before the Marble news and we generally underestimated the impact of that loss, so everyone overshot it, but MarcAg with a late add nailed it:
2024-25 Predictions:
Overall regular season record (31 games): 24-7
Conference regular season record: 13-5
Postseason tournament? Which one? Seed: NCAA's, 3 seed
Conference champion: Alabama
National champion: Alabama
Stat of the year other than score, turnovers, FT% and 3pt%: Phelps and Manny's assist percentages. Need these two to be actual threats to pass the ball to keep pressure off of Taylor. If these guys can get up around 20% we'll really be in business.
Other bold predictions:
Last year's prediction thread: Most predictions came in before the Marble news and we generally underestimated the impact of that loss, so everyone overshot it, but MarcAg with a late add nailed it:
- Prediction of the year - MarcAg - "If marble doesn't play this year then put me down for a 9 seed"
- Bold predictions that came true:
- The Marksman: Solo becomes a full-time starter
- CactusThomas: Garcia finds a way to contribute without being able to draw 17 charges per 40
- taylorswift13: Arkansas has another losing record in conference play
- Topher17: Kansas State misses the tournament - Worst predictions of the year:
- Everyone who said Marble would play - Tennessee won the SEC: me, cactusthomas, Topher17, GrayMatter
- UCONN winning the natty: nobody
- Almost: a few people (myself, zooguy96, Topher17) had Purdue winning the national title and/or in the Final Four

Other bold predictions:
- We start in the Top 25 and never fall out (think we've only done this once)
- We beat Texas by double digits in the home game
- The San Diego State game thread will have like 3 people posting on it
- Taylor shoots over 38% from 3, is the SEC POY, and overtakes the school scoring record against Georgia on Feb 11.
- We avoid the minislump and don't lose more than two games in a row, which we'll do twice (in that late November/early December stretch and in mid-February)
