I'm pretty shocked by this spread, especially considering how good we looked yesterday. +405 money line is looking really juicy.

I have watched both teams alot this year.

If UH plays their A game, it will not be close.

If we play our A game and they play their B/C game, we may be able to pull it out.

UH wins 9 out of 10 times.

We just played our first full A game of the year. UH would have had a tough time beating us last night. What you just said assumes we are the A&M of a month ago. We are not. This current lineup has a much higher A game and it can absolutely go toe to toe with UH's A game.

I don't think some people realize how good Houston is. They've lost four games all season, three of them true road games and the fourth the Big 12 title game.

They've absolutely dismantled teams a lot better than we are on paper.

Maybe we really are a new team with new look Manny, but they have a MUCH longer track record

And yet we almost beat them in Houston, with no Radford, Coleman not at 100%, and Manny being a non factor. And they played a great game.

Yeah, I know, I think the fact that we competed in that game is blinding some folks to just how good Houston has been all season.

I'm not saying we can't win, we absolutely can, but Houston is a truly elite team.

The Aggies have a dog, beautiful dog. That's probably better than a cat when you think about it. This is what they're saying. Are they right? That cats missing part of its paw, probably a weak cat if it's missing part of a paw, I prefer whole cats.

This. I have like a 40% confidence level that the Aggies can win this game. Which is saying a lot because Houston is a GREAT team.

Not to get too far ahead but if we can beat Houston tomorrow 4 of the other 6 teams left in our region are double digit seeds. And of course the next two games would be in Dallas.

Our Fightin' Texas Aggies need a NC St or Villanova "championship" type game to pull off the upset of the #1 seed.

Manny plays like he has played in the last 6-7 games … Ags have a chance regardless of how they play

I'm sure many said the exact same thing about the last 'for sure lock UH basketball championship' team and they had 2 future hall of famers on that team

I figure we're playing with house money at this point. I'd obviously love a win, but I'll be pretty proud of the team if they give Houston a good game.

My illogical homer side thinks we'll pull off the win.

For a pre- Sweet 16 game this is great exposure for our program. Prime time March Madness against a one seed. Enjoy the moment and give it our best shot.

Houston is ferocious but not very deep. Foul trouble could be a killer. I'm expecting a close game and think A&M has a real chance, but Houston is DAMN good when they are on.

Houston is an incredible team. Talent, coaching, experience - they have it all. Earned that one seed. They have beat good teams in tourney past two years to make it to the second weekend of the dance.

It's a single game elimination tournament and anything can happen in one game. I think we'll need another variable to help us win, UH foul trouble or cold shooting or injury. But we will compete.

I'm sure we'll just do what we do, but might be worth looking at how ISU plays them since two of UH 4 losses are to ISU. But one was at ISU and close and one was Big 12 tourney where UH maybe getting some rest - so perhaps fools gold there too.

I am feeling a psychological edge for our Aggies.

The fact that Houaton's worst loss of the season was in their conference tournament to Iowa State AND two of their four losses were to Iowas State - an Iowa State team that the Aggies beat earlier this year - coupled with the fact that a very depleted Aggie team (no Boots and no MO 2.0) was two missed Henry Coleman free throws from a TIE game late in the contest against a much less depleted UH team IN HOUSTON (technically a neutral court) - even though I realize that this was due to Wade playing out of his mind to bring us back in the final minutes of that game (similar to how he has played as of late BTW) - with ALL of the pressure on the One Seed - puts us in a good place in terms of relative frames of mind.

If The Fightin' Texas Aggies can hang with them in the first half, and especially if we can get any of their key players in foul trouble (while avoiding the same for us- especially Wade and Solo who both tend to pick up stupid fouls early), then I like our chances to start making the Cougars develop some doubts in their minds about whether they may not be able to advance.

And the GOOD NEWS is that, even if we DON'T stay with them initially and fall behind by double digits - we have repeatedly shown against teams like Iowa State AND Houston (again, both games without some of our key contributors) that we are capable of coming back!

Houston is big and talented. In order to have a chance we must maintain control, minimize bad decisions, do not force a pass, take good shots. Obaseki and others need to watch their ball handling and pass off before they get trapped.

I don't love our chances, but I didn't love our chances in December either. This isn't a "puncher's chance" type game -- we have the horses to make it a game and don't need anything miraculous.

It'll be a battle of the guards. Will simply boil down to fg% beyond 20'. Lets hope Manny and Wade find hot hands early and maintains. Solo and Garcia need to rebound like there is no tomorrow.
