Nebraska is hungry. Their football team has sucked for years.
Not that surprising
We've had some good teams and good support but we've just been too inconsistent without much great success to really bring an avid fanbase.

I was in Jacksonville in 2005. Or 06. Whichever year we played Syracuse. Can't remember. We had a massive showing. People just aren't wanting to travel for a letdown and clearly aren't as bullish and excited on this team.

Meh . Not that much difference between 8-4 and 5-7. Neither are memorable seasons. I mean 10-1 was pretty good a few years back but not particularly
Memorable for a school that puts football first . Nebraska has been championship level good a lot more recently than us with possible exception of 2012

Regardless, I've always thought of Nebraska as one of the better traveling fanbases in general - not that I have any data to back that up.

I was also there in 2006 and part of the reason it was such a big deal is that we hadn't been in about 20 years. Meanwhile, Nebraska is only experiencing their second tournament in the last quarter century. So definitely a bigger deal for them.Heineken-Ashi said:dixichkn said:

If you asked me for the least desirable travel location in the United States, Memphis would be very close to the top of the list.
I took my family to Charlotte in 2018. There were dozens of Aggies in the house… probably less than 200. But there was a ton of other reasons to visit the area.
