This is horrendous. Can't get boards and missing everything from the line.

Our Defense is a joke

Again sagging off in help d when it's not needed and giving their best shooter a wide open 3. We will never beat a team that can consistently shoot the 3 playing like this.

Defense is fine. LSU about 10 below average.

At least Savion Flagg has started to play reasonably well again lately, in this different coaching staff under Buzz, a player whom some posters on TexAgs had mercilessly hammered much of this season as 'lazy', 'worthless', etc. Hopefully he comes back for a senior season.

He was lazy and worthless earlier this year.

True but I thought it was the best chance of the three before Arkie.

It's hard to tell if it was our offense (not as aggressive as we have been) or their defense which is statistically not very good.

Hopefully some of these upperclassmen that just aren't good enough to play at this level move on to something else after the season.

Nah, beating LSU on the road at the end of the season and them on the bubble. No way.

They're not a talented team. They play hard even when making tons of mistakes. I can respect that. Just need more talent

Mitchell, Miller, and Jackson combined for 12 points. Need more production from those 3 if this teams wants to win one of the last two games. .

Flagg saved us from a potential 20 point loss (or worse) with only Nebo also in double digits on scoring. Realistically beating LSU on their court would have still been a challenge with Chuck, Gultekin, and Q all in double digits which would have been 13 more points. The 1/9 at the charity stripe also was difficult to listen to.

The team has two more season games to tell their story. Hope they dig deeper and make the most of the opportunities against Auburn and Arkansas!

Turnovers are right, but what are you saying about 3s? I think you mean free throws.

We actually shot better than they did from 3 and overall - those turnovers gave them more shots and the missed FTs wasted ours.

Making bad passes is not lazy. They may be called "lazy" but that's disingenuous. And I'd say it's more uncertain than lazy. As I posted then, Buzz wouldn't play a guy who was actually lazy so this is a dumb idea.

Simply put, though not taller, LSU was much, much stronger and more determined in boxing out and rebounding than the Ags. Also, refs let Tigers play real hard on both the defensive and offensive glass, especially in the first part of the game, and let them consistently push and bully our guys under the basket. Right now, besides for Nebo, we have not a single guy who has the strength and athleticism needed to make baskets in close against a team like this. In addition, we have guys like Flagg and others who look like they just throw the ball toward the backboard on free throws without any finesse or follow through. Do they never get, or take, the time to be coached and practice to at least look like they might make free throws, or for that matter, contested lay-ups?

Mitchell lost us the game. He is an absolute embarrassment on defense. When Yeezy is even yelling at you for needlessly jumping off your man, it's time to sit your ass down. That was the single most pathetic defensive effort by a single player I've ever seen. We're going to be so much better next year without that kind of crap weighing us down.

And don't get me started on the lack of dribbling fundamentals and the lazy passes by the whole team. Pathetic.

I think the story has already been written by this team. You really expected a 10-8 or 9-9 team in Nov/Dec? I'll take the Arkansas win and call it a great effort and over-achieving for this bunch.

Our margin for error is very low and miscues must be kept to a minimum. Missed free throws killed us.

Why are you always making these kind of posts where you call out a single player and just talk about how pathetic they were. One bad play and he cost us the game? You did this with Flagg most of the year but now he's shooting well and Mitchell is the scapegoat. But you're right I'm sure we'll be so much better next year when two of our best players may be gone because their "crap is weighing us down".
