Really? They got to the 2nd round of the tournament the last 2 years & were in the Elite 8 the year before that. It seems he did okay with his own players. Patterson is the only player Billy's got to work with? Crawford, Bradley & Meeks just suck, huh? I guess Randolph Morris was their entire team. HA HA

How about this scenario:

IU fires Sampson
IU hires Bobby Knight to finish the season
IU hires BCG at the end of the season (BCG claims that it was his "dream job" all along)

Turgeon, Barnes, and Self don't go anywhere (except Turgeon goes to the Final 4)

Hmmm...BCG's methods do seem similar to Knight's methods. Perhaps he would be a good fit there and I think they have been more desperate in the recent past (until this year) than UK. Having said that, the parting between Knight and IU was brutal if I recall, with years of nasty litigation. I'm not sure IU would hire Knight back if he were the only person on Earth with a coaching pedigree. But Wayne would know more about that. :-) And I am skeptical that a Final Four is in our future in the next 3 years.

I don't see it happening

According to some people I know who are close to the Kentucky and Okie Lite programs, it is a Boone Pickens deal.

Seems that Boone Pickens and TKC have an aquaintance relationship. TKC also has a group of friends up in Tulsa. The news I have heard is that Boone will make it happen.

But, if you will all remember, this kind of crap happenend every year at Aggieland. TKC has more spin moxie than both of the Clintons combined. He has done Kentucky like he did us, not signed his contract. Now, all the stories are coming out that he is leaving.

This is this guy's character. He has done this every where he has been. After awhile, it gets really old. Yes, he did improve our program greatly, but he almost tore it down just as fast with this exact type of behavior.

Way tooooooooooooooo much maintenance required for people like this. Yes, he may come to Okie Lite....only to do the same thing to them. "Can the leopard change his spots.....?"

Let's see how the rest of the year plays out for UK. Unless he just continues to bottom out I think UK will give him another year.

Wouln't be any wronger than Saban ending up at Alabama.......

That article is about as bad as some of the crap that is posted on this site. That's about how much credit I give for that piece of work.
