Tonight would be a good time for Texas to step up and get another big win

I don't think they have a chance.

RPI wise, neither team winning is going to help us much more than the other (since we still play @ Texas and vs Kansas).

I'm rather torn to be honesty. On the one hand I'd like to see a Texas win that leaves the door slightly cracked for us to get back in the conference title hunt (still 4 very loseable games for a young Wildcats team that's looked very beatable on the road), but on the other hand I'd hate for Texas to have some momentum going into next Monday and even moreso -- there's a part of me that really, really wants to see Kansas #1 when they come to A&M in mid-March.

If the sips won we would control whether we caught KU or not, but we can't control ksu losing 3 more games. If we had even a 25% chance of catching up in the race then i would root for the sips, but we don't so screw em.

We need any help to get to the 2-3 rank for the conference tournament. That way we can aviod ku until the championship and have a better chance of beating teams to help our seed.

I'm not sure exactly why everyone is assume Kansas State can't possibly lose 3 more games.

In true road games this year, they are 2-2. Losses to Missouri and Xavier, 2pt win at Oklahoma and 16pt win at Colorado.

Not far-fetched in the least to think they'll drop 3 games out of those 5.

The longhorns can barely beat iowa state. They won't win, period.

KSU won't lose 3 out of those five games. It's possible, but i'd be willing to put money on it.

Looking at their remaining 8 conference games, I'll go ahead and make the prediction that K-State winds up no better than 12-4.

I'm going to the game tonight, and I'll be pulling for the horns. I still think KSU will hit a rough patch coming up, and we might as well dream about running the table (probably won't happen, but we're not eliminated from the title chase yet, so why not hope?).

I want every team to lose to ku so that we can get a two seed for the tournament to help get to the semis.

If we are a two seed, we will be playing the likes of neb/tech or tech osu

Three seed will have to contend with ou or baylor.

I will never understand how some alleged Ags can root for the sips. It is physically impossible for me to do so, in any situation. Even in some kind of Dr. Evil "sips win or you die" scenario, where I would just have to say "It was a good life."

And some of us "alleged Ags" will never understand how people can hate someone or something so much that they're blind to the fact that a victory by those people might help us in the standings. The season is bigger than our rivalry with one team. It's pathetic that we have so many students and fans that are so obsessed with the horns.

they only need to lose two, if we win out.

there is no tie breaker for regular season conference champs. we would be co-champs even w/ the same record, and losing head to head.
