Fair argument, macaggie. But the fact is Barnes probably has no recollection of a comment he made a year ago. He's not even going to notice it if it works. Meanwhile a lot of people watching on TV who know nothing of his comment are going to say, "Texas A&M's students actually yelled that in unison? That is the most juvenile thing I've ever heard."

You'll make a much bigger impact if ESPN's announcers comment on the crowd noise throughout the game, and Barnes acknowledges it in his postgame comments.

I didn't really read this whole thread but I just thought I'd throw out there that there's not really any need for flyers with this type of thing. If it happens in happens, but flyers are not only annoying but I'm superstitious so I think it's bad luck also.

"tough guy" - Right. You can always tell when someone suddenly realizes they are on the losing end of a disagreement. They resort to name calling.
Even if this is pulled off (which I have no doubt we can do), it will seem at least silly if not down right racist to those who see it on T.V. No one will remember the statement that barnes made last year.

good job with the batt article, but still I think no flyers.

Don't let these guys bother you Mac. It'll be funny to those who know what its about. Who cares what others think. The article in the Batt will shed some light on it. The flyers not be the best way, but they'll help too. I think getting the yell leaders involved as well will help.

if there are no flyers then the yell will not be succesful. the students wont know what to say

agreed. The pork chop yell above was decent, but had weak response in our very high tech poll of all qualified voters. But the t-sip yell made a good showing. But when it comes right down to it....watermelon wins!!!

Ok now I can't tell if you are making fun of the yell or just being funny.....

I'm adding to the repertoire... Personally, I like the Ice Cream yell the most.

Really seems like a bad idea. Honestly does seem high schoolish. Busdriver got him pissed last year so just do it. If this retarted yell happens, it wont be unified, and the ones that do it will look like idiots.

Well sorry guys. There is an 80% chance the story will be on the front page of the Batt tomorrow. So it looks like it is full steam ahead.

This is great fun. Glad you're doing it. I had forgotten but loved the idea last year. Yells are about having fun in the stands, anyway. If it works, than great. If not, no big deal, you've made a fun memory. I think it'll work though. Something else to look forward to for tomorrow!
