There's usually not much, and it was super concentrated. But more sauce would be better.

Man...my mom served us a lot of corned beef hash in the 90s. Every bit of it out of a can but I loved it. May have to pick up a can and then prep for making some from scratch.

From scratch meaning buying a brisket and curing it yourself over a week or whatever. If I took that much trouble though I'd probably smoke it and do pastrami

There were times in my life when I was very poor and this was a delicacy. Right out of the can and cold.

My grandfather was a partner in a Mississippi grocery brokerage. He stocked Dinty Moore and a bunch of other brands on shelves all over the South. I'm not sure I've ever eaten a can of it that wasn't dented.

Oh I can imagine it. And I've done a lot of the precursors. Just not into corned beef hash as the final product.

When I make hash, I go to the deli section and ask them to slice some corned beef a 1/4 inch thick.

It's the Sugar Spun Run recipe multiplied 1.5 for a 1/2 sheet pan.
- I use Ghirardelli Dutch cocoa for the cake and Scharffen Berger cocoa for the icing
- Full fat Daisy Sour Cream
- Kerrygold Unsalted butter
- Add an extra Yolk to the batter
- Add 1 tsp cinnamon to the batter
- Add 2 tsp cake batter extract
- Add 1 tsp chocolate extract to batter and icing
- Use espresso powder instead of instant coffee

For the topping 6 oz chopped walnuts, toasted
Guittard milk chocolate chips
About 1-2 c marshmallows

When the cake comes out of the oven, scatter the chocolate chips, walnuts, and marshmallows on top. Then make the icing and drizzle all over while everything is still warm. For a s'mores version substitute cinnamon teddy grams for the walnuts.

Blue Star. Front row left is a 25K btu PrimaNova burner and front right is a 22K UltraNova. Only regret is not getting the double wide griddle as 6 burners is unnecessary. I love it though

Looks great. We did the same thing with the intentions under the cabinets. We have a bertazzoni rangetop and it makes no sense after two years to switch but I'm considering it.

A number of years ago, Departures magazine ran an article on their gas range test. Blue Star was the hands down best, from holding lowest temps to fastest boil. I'm fortunate to have the predecessor to Blue Star, which was sold off by Garland when they went 100% commercial.
