Warren's was great when I worked downtown, but that has been years. Is the bar and tailor shop combo still next door? Enjoyed talking to the owner whose name escapes me now.

In Whitewright there was a bar called "The Dusty Saddle". Two doors to get in with the second door requiring a key. Due to the standard TX blue laws it was a "members only" place and if you were a member you got a key. You could still go if you weren't a member, but you had to be there with one.

Several years ago it was sold and is now a place called One Eyed Jacks or something along those lines. When it first opened they were trying to make it appeal more to the under 60 crowd so it had some sand volleyball courts, a stage, etc. No idea if it is fun at all since the rebrand.

Is Dry Creek Cafe still open in Austin? Probably not because it was a ****hole back in the day, but pretty cool environment.

Sadly it closed Oct. 2021. Used to go get some food and beers there all the time after work. Being in the Mt. Bonnell area surrounded by all those multi million dollar homes they just didn't have the foot traffic coming in.
