Howdy!

I am relatively new to bourbon, and have been wanted to try more Texas bourbons. Besides Rebecca Creek, does anybody know of any Aggie owned distilleries in Texas?

Thanks

I believe Rio Brazos / Nathan Barkman is an Aggie.

We make Lone Elm Whiskey at our distillery in Forney, TX. Aggie owned and operated, Class of '87. We make grain-to-glass straight wheat whiskey.

If your interested, the master distiller is doing a live stream with the Texas Whiskey Trail tomorrow, April 9 at 9:00 p.m. The link should be available on the Texas Whiskey Trail's Facebook either later today or sometime tomorrow. If you miss it, it will be available on YouTube.

We tried Lone Elm whiskey for the first time at the Texas Whiskey Festival and really enjoyed the single barrel.

Thanks! Bottling the single barrel is a labor intensive process because we cannot use our bottling line. The whiskey in our single barrel is truly only from that barrel. For the single barrel, we coarse filter the whiskey to remove any chunks from the barrel and then hand bottle.
