We are putting together a gift basket for the scholarship auction for our Aggie Club. I have used Rebecca Creek in the past but would like to try something different this year. Thanks in advance for any info.

William Chris Winery in Fredericksburg

One of its two owners is an Aggie, had a day trip out there a few weeks ago with the lady and they told us that when we stopped in. Im not a wine guy but the stuff we tried was pretty decent and we ended up buying 3 bottles. After Rebecca Creek I dont know of any whiskey that is owned or run by an A&M grad.

Not Aggies I don't think but the Bernhardt winery in Plantersville has a wine called Aggie Blush. Would be good for a gift basket.

Ranger Creek out of San Antonio was founded by an Aggie and a couple other guys. But we all went to sip grad school together so maybe that changes your mind.

Rock Town Distillery in Little Rock is owned by Phil Brandon. Great little distillery paying the bills with vodka, gin and moonshine while starting to turn out some pretty good bourbons and whiskeys.

If any of you are passing through they are a good stop for a quick tour and tasting. They are about to relocate locally to a much larger building.

Chuck Robertson is an Ag. They got bought out but the original owners and family are still running the place per their buyout agreement.

I can second Italics wine. Went there my last trip to Napa. Had no idea about the Aggie connection until we got there and started talking to the guys. Great wine and awesome winery to visit.
