From what I hear, I don't think that's much of a coincidence. Found it interesting there wasn't a single Bordeaux in the top 10. There's usually at least one.

I need another wine gift suggestion, I dont know anything about white wine. What should I get for a white wine drinker? I dont know what varietal they prefer so I am open to anything, but I think I have seen them order Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. I am thinking 2-3 bottles with a budget of $500 - $600. Let me know if you have any recommendations.

Edit: I think one bottle will be champaign. Maybe 2013/2015 Dom for ~$300?

Do they like vintage champagne? To me it's definitely an acquired taste. If not, I'd probably opt for Krug over Dom. Still nice but avoids the damp basement experience you sometimes get in younger vintage champagne.

If you're wanting bubbles, I'd suggest grower champagne, aka farmer fizz. You can find some amazing bubbles for half the cost of the big houses. We had a Hugues Godme Reserve Brut Premier Cru last night, and it was spectacular. It's sourced from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, and drinks like a Grand Cru. For $88, it rivals almost anything the big houses are making.
