They're very different, but both very good. The Evening Land is what you would expect from Rajat Parr (high acid, complexity), but it was a hotter vintage, so there's more fruit. Everyone thought the William Selyem tasted like Thanksgiving: lots of clove, cardamom, cranberry, and darker fruits. I brought home some of each.

The cabs are out of my budget.

15.6% is not very old world in style, unless you mean very modern CdP products... and as a Grenache that might make sense

Never had one before, but just got one and plan on drinking today. I'm going in with low expectations. It's something that's meant to be drank right away so not sure how it would handle shipping. It was never meant to be sold, definitely not exported. However it's a trendy tradition that can be marketed so here we are.

We usually have one on release day. In 2018 and 2019 I bought a case and had people over that night. We don't drink much at all during the week, so for us it's a good excuse to have a bottle of wine on a Thursday night.

I will say that the 2020 was better than I remember 2019 being.

I'm in for that. Where are you? I know houston wine merchant can and will order a case. We have a couple years to figure it out lol.

And I believe 2020 was declared a vintage for most champagne houses....
