Anyone try the Hooten Young Barrel Proof 15 year? Saw some on the shelf yesterday and considered it but only found one review of it online. Review was good, but I'm not one to generally drop $130 on a bottle unless I'm pretty sure it's damn good

Looking at the website t is 15 year MGP @125 proof. with it being 99% corn and distilled at 189 proof it is basically a light whiskey. Im sure its good, i don't know if i would drop that much on it but i dont think you would be getting a bad bottle.

Offering of the day. I didn't know taste and fill was an option. We did the whiskey connoisseur and got to try HH17 and this WHH!

WHH was a bonus because it was just my group of 8 and no one else…

Whiskey connoisseur sounds like a much better offering then.

The you do whiskey they have you try an EC, Larceny, Bernheim, and maybe a select stock or something. Then, you choose which one you want to bottle & pay msrp. It's fun, but you don't try anything really exciting.

Well then I'll share the whole cabinet now vs then. About 60 percent are unopened as I tend to go through two bottles at a time to compare them as well as my handle of Makers not pictured.

Current shelf by shelf and empties on top I can't throw away.

Some of these bottles are irreplaceable and saved for special events such as birthdays or Eagles Super Bowl victories. Since the Ags aren't winning anything soon

Great pics.

I'm not much into spending too often for bottles above $50.

Part of the reason is because I've found myself really enjoying both 1792 (varied bottles) and Eagle Rare.
