Flying through Sydney Australia on my way back from a business trip and the duty free had Eagle Rare sitting on the shelf for 45 bucks and no tax obviously! Snagged two. They also had Weller 12 for $125 but I didn't buy it.

Added these to my collection today. Funny thing about the Texas A&M edition, I got this at the package store on Corry Station in Pensacola, Florida. We're everywhere boys!!

The label was filed but hasn't been confirmed by BT. Although it's all but likely given the bourbon decline and potential bourbon bust. They will be sitting on more inventory than they know what to do with so extra aging ER is probably in their best interest. It's all good news for bourbon drinkers. Flippers better unload asap.

Eagle Rare 10 Year is my favorite bourbon.
An Eagle Rare 12 Year (with a slightly higher proof) would be fun to try to find in a few years.

A lot of the ER single Barrel's were already 11+ years old. As demand starts going down I think we can expect to see a lot more of these releases as they do whatever they can spark interest. Im sure flippers will also be doing everything they can to protect their "investment" as well.
I don't know if we are headed towards a crash but i do think we start seeing prices come down significantly this year.
I just got an email for a BT VABC lottery and the new msrp prices are just ****ing ridiculous. $84 for Rock Hills Farms is an absolute joke.
Shoot, if BT started sending cases down to Houston, there would be NO shortage. But hey, at least it makes everyone try everything else that's good!

Is anyone else seeing Elijah Craig Single Barrel Barrel Proof at TW for ~$45? I'm wondering if it's a misprice since they're usually ~$90. Maybe the bourbon bust is really here.

The Corpus one shows it for $69 which does seem significantly cheaper than previous releases.
Are you sure it is the barrel proof? There are occasional 90 proof single barrel releases by EC which should be at the $45 mark. Maybe it is that or if it is the Barrell Proof maybe someone from TW put in the wrong SKU and the price is mismarked.

That's a good price for EHTBP. Great pour and I would happily pull the trigger on that.
I haven't had Batch 11, but I've had a few people tell me it's off profile. But I haven't had a bad batch personally. All have been great. Just wanted to let you know since it's a point to consider.

Age statement was nearly 4 hours which is better than you can find for most small distilleries in the state. Heck, there's some long time Texas labels still putting out sourced stuff at like 30-36 months. I saw a pair of 2 year age statements on the shelf today. I know it's not uncommon for Texas stuff because of how it ages, but if I'm gonna index on something like that, I want a little more time in the barrel.
