Idk about pappy with soda but any time I get some with a high proof, I make sure I add lots of water to get from 120+ to more like a nice 70-80. It really goes down smooth.

What's a fair asking on KC18? Found a few at a store for $219, curious if it's worth it.
It's not at all IMO
I think it's a great pour and usually goes for around $180. It's all sweet oak, but not drying like some over oaked bourbons. It's also more consistent than EC18 being a batch product. It's a bottle I'll always want on my shelf but probably not for the extra $40.

I've seen Eagle Rare and Weller 12 in the middle section of the bourbon aisle there before. It goes quick though.
Last week, Total wine had Taylor small batch and John J Bowman on the shelf. Spec's had Eagle Rare, Weller 12, Weller SR and Larceny BP (it's been on the shelf for a few weeks). I'm still holding out for an OWA, but I grabbed the Bowman and Taylor for my coworker.
Really want an OWA or Weller 12.

Since I was so high on redwood empire's lost monarch I went ahead and picked up pipe dream and emerald giant from the store today.
Pipe dream: grainy and very youthful. Not a fan
Emerald giant: pretty good
They both don't compare to lost monarch though which is weird because it's just a blend.
