I find it difficult to believe it's not been used for something else such as at a brewery. It's only had bourbon in it?

What's the condition? Solid or rickety (dried out)?

Any markings?

I collect barrels for wood working purposes so origin doesn't really matter, except the barrel head.

It came directly from Buffalo Trace to OLC to me.

Good condition. One of the rings fell off because wood is contacting. I still have it.

It's fine just don't need two empty barrels of bourbon.

I would start off at Cascade Hollow Distilling Company, Home of George Dickel. Ask for the Sweetens Cove, Speyside Finish.

If you like Dickel finished in scotch casks, then this is the pour for you!

12 year is my favorite of the lineup. So good. I just picked up a SiB store pick in Port A for $45. The regular SiB is great so looking forward to cracking it.

Remember seeing this post but came across a Stellum this afternoon on my way home. I pulled up some reviews from Reddit and Breaking Bourbon and decided $42 for a cask strength MGP product that's aged by Barrel was worth a gamble. Glad I did. Very impressed. Quite tasty for the price point.

So good. Bang for the buck, I don't think there's a better bottle of rye for the money. Be careful. That 110 proof will sneak up on you because it doesn't drink that hot at all.
