Always keep at least 1 bottle around. Fantastic for cocktails. Closest thing I've got to a house mixer, even the single barrel picks. Haven't found the picks to stray far enough away from the standard to be too interesting for me though.

The older batches are worth $200

The newer releases……I would buy it at $200 once just to open and try. Keep it on the shelf for others to try as well.

Personally, yes. Read the batch tasting notes first though. Some slight differences. If you can't find notes it's worth taking a chance on at $200 imo since they tend to get marked up.

I bought batch 230 a couple of weeks ago and not disappointed. It's not a bottle I'll buy multiple of, but will probably buy another when I run out.

I wish/hope Joseph Magnus does some different stuff in the future. I like the way they do things and how meticulous they are, but they're lower offerings just don't tempt me a ton.

Stopped at a couple stores on the way home. Looked at a bottle of Tincup 14 because it's a Colorado exclusive but the proof turned me off (84) and I'm pretty sure it's just MGP juice anyways.

It's not a Colorado exclusive. It's all over Texas. And I get it with the proof, but it's fantastic. I'm definitely drawn to proofers, but the FC 14er is my go-to summer pour. It's a flavor bomb like a proofer, but easy to drink and perfect for the pool or beach.

The Tin Cup i have had has always just been fine, not good or bad just fine. Oddly enough i love everything from the other brand the founder started prior to Tin Cup. I think they do hold themselves back by not having higher proof offerings around the 100 range.

Stranahans. I think Tin Cup may actually be bottled at their distillery and they use some of the Stranahans single malt in the whiskey.

Really. SLB highly recommended Tincup 10. Which is why I took a look at the 14. Might have to revisit. I'm thinking I'm going to grab rare breed first though. Never had it and I love WT101 so it should be right up my alley.
