It's just this one bottle guys. Put this forum on your follow list and pay attention to when AT says he's posting a bottle signup list. It's pretty easy to get in on 98% of the bottles if you do that. Most of these picks aren't short barrels with low yields and you'll have a chance at one, if not multiple bottles.

I spoke to him about doing a High West Double Barrel Rye Single barrel pick.
Apparently they don't let you choose the barrel, they send you a random single barrel and he said that's now how he does business. I couldn't agree more, every barrel is very different.

No joke. He's got a reputation to keep of making good choices and if they just sent him a random barrel labeled as a barrel pick it could tarnish that for him.

I didn't think so, but they make some of my favorite juice. Definitely my favorite ryes.

This. It's really not that hard guys.
The cask strength rye should be hitting Texas before too long. It is very good and I'd take it over the standard rye everyday. Michter's version of cask strength isn't as high as most, since they use a lower entry proof, so it's not too hot to enjoy either.
That would be amazing but unfortunately they don't do barrel picks. I've got a ticket for the Michter's founders tour next month, hoping to pick up a few allocated bottles while I'm there. I went bourbon hunting today and just missed out on the 10 yr bourbon and the barrel strength rye.

Which variation did you have? The standard small batch isn't great, and I have known a couple people who get the single barrel and get a bad batch. Sometimes the full proof needs some time to breath and mellow out. But generally, I find the Full Proof and Single Barrel to be outstanding for the money.
Michter's rye are great. The shelfer is fantastic but the M10R, Barrel Strength, and Toasted are some of the best imo. They're very approachable for bourbon drinkers, even if you don't typically like rye.
Great news. I've tried it and it's a fruit bomb. So good. Definitely hoping to get a bottle because I think it's better than the toasted and up there with the '23 10 year. (Which is saying something)

The 1792 FP is one of the best bang for your buck bottles I have tried.
