The double eagle would probably make me ill seeing the price, but at some point you've got to ask yourself the chances of ever actually getting to try it not for those prices etc. If it's a bucket list bourbon item then go for it, because those bottles are FEW and FAR between. Just make sure to buy your wife something nice after you order lol.

Honestly, I would actually love a Balcones pick, as long at it is the single malt. Of course i'd probably be the only person to buy a bottle but as bad as the bourbon is the single malts actually show some promise. both the lineage and 1 are some of the better ASM's i've had in the 40ish range.
They made the right decision to focus on that instead of bourbons and ryes. Pot Stils just weren't made for that.

I tasted at Balconies . One of their deceptions of note was like you picked a bbq pit. They were right and I've never had anything else from them. Everything they had wasn't good.
