I didn't catch it nor did I grab a bottle.. they also have 2 bottles of the new Hirsch release which is allegedly Willett 9 year bourbon for $150. Sitting on the floor in a yellow Hirsch box in the middle of the aisle.

Most of them aren't imo. The one bottle has become very sought after because they sourced Willet juice that's 9 years old, so it's like 70% purple top.

Most of the bottles I've seen are 95% willet 5% younger sourced elsewhere. You do have to check the mash bills, which they do put on the bottle, some of the newer bottles aren't willet anymore.

And even better, there are some out there that are 100% willet. I got a couple bottles of 100% purple top 9 year that were maybe the best thing I drank in 2023.

Tom Cardy has it correct. I like the random Makers editions but honestly I'd recommend just regular 46 or even better 46 cask strength.

Just saw an EC18 in the wild but was secondary pricing I assume cause it was up there. They also had WFP pick, little book, and some others. Sugar Land

I snagged a 375 of buffalo trace cause I had never seen one.

That's the thing about the EC18. It's supposed to be a toasted oak bomb. Maybe even burnt.

It's a single barrel so it probably varies, but mine is really balanced. It's a sweet oak and not too drying.

About to finish off a KC120 14yr from when they first started the private/select bottles. They really need to let more of their barrels sit a bit longer, these are premium.

First new bottle in the new house was the TA pick. Wasn't sure what to expect but I'm enjoying this one quite a bit. It's sweeter than I would normally go for, but not objectionable at all.
