I've only had the 2023 and it was fantastic. I got to try the '19 WLW last month and it was the best bourbon I've ever had. Can't wait to get a bottle of either… one day…

That's a good year. GTS has always been my #1. My first introduction to good bourbon was this pour. Kind of like saying the first baseball player I ever saw was Babe Ruth.
The Boss Hog 9 is second, a close second.
Still got some work to do on the room but got the shelves done and bottles moved over.

Yeah, I like Blue Spot a lot, but there are a lot of other things I'd much rather have for $300. That's just an outrageous price.
That's a small part of it, but it sounds like the Irish distilleries caught on to the American secondary market and just decided to jack up all their pricing. It's most evident in the high end stuff - Redbreast 27 went from $350 retail to $1,000 in the last three years, but the difference between batch 4 and 5 is crazy - $400 jump in less than a year.ryeguy said:

Honestly though, there is a lot of good bourbon out there to be found. I just don't hunt like most folks on this thread. They treat it like a PT job.
