It varies, I had a sample from my coworker that was very good and then I had a pour at a friend's house that was just okay. He ended up giving me the bottle and it just never was to the level of that sample I had.

This. The HMK10 are just Evan Williams Single Barrels that are still 10 years at the bonded proof. They're good, but they got their namesake from honey barrels that never hit the shelves for us plebs. Great value at 30, mid at 60

I agree. I found that after the 08/18 bottles they took a dive. Some of the more recent ones have come back around.

Another TW Reserve qualification question…..

Just moved to a TW area in South Carolina. I have the app and have started buying. Where do I find out about the 10x for wine promos? I have only seen x off Winery Direct or Whatever. Is it marked on the shelf and i am missing it? I have never seen it on the app or got an email about it letting me know.

In the app. It's under deals and you have to activate it - it is only good 1 visit per promo so use it wisely!

Cracked the Penelope Founders Reserve Light American whiskey light night watching the Cowboys eke it out. I know technically not bourbon, at 99% corn, it had some spiciness I wasn't expecting (in a good way). But at 15years old and 122 proof, it has a real punch of flavor, some great sweetness and decently long finish. Very light on the mouth feel though

Bc of that, I want to do a side by side with the ECBP c923. Just bc it's so light on the palate, and the ECBP is so thick and heavy. Would be a great contrast

I was helping a buddy in CA with this yesterday. The deals vary by location, based on what you choose as your "preferred store" in your account settings. You also will only see the 10x points deals if you have a preferred store set before the deal goes live. I recommend setting your preferred store to a Texas one and then wait and see if the 10x points offer comes up when it renews. My current one expires 12/10 so it will be sometime after that.

Luckily it seems to not mess with the GPS selection of a store close to you for actual shopping, just determines which deals you get and maybe some emails or something, not sure.

I don't believe so, don't you choose which store you want to pick up from when you enter the drawing?

Only issue potentially is the random email bottles that don't come from the main drawings.

Also, I would just change it to Texas to get a 10x coupon, buy $250 of wine, then switch it to a local store

Right. I get an email reminder to re-up a couple of days after the previous offers expire. You can click on it and it takes you to the app/website.

Lately, there's only been a few days each month when the offers aren't in place.

Do it now. Your GR will be good all next year. If you wait you will miss the Q1 drawing

I think it resets 1/1? Pretty sure you don't keep it all the next year.

If he hits GR this year it should be good for all of 2024. The points will reset to zero 1/1 but GR will be good all of 2024

I just started trying to accumulate points this year for the first time. Can attest to the fact that it is super easy to hit GR with the 10x wine. I think I only did 2-3 months of buying 6 or so bottles, plus my regular bourbon and liquor on occasion, and hit 45K points relatively easily. Here's to hoping I get something!

You hit GR this year and you're good for the following year too.

Thanks everyone for the replies. The deal must be as stated above. I have deals to activate and have…gift bags, discounts off classes, and $ and % off of spirits or winery direct. But have never seen the 10x points or anything like it. Will switch my store to one in Texas and see if that triggers the deal.
