Driving back home (Raleigh) from the west. I have time to stop at OF or 4R which is better?

Our group liked OF a lot more than 4 Roses for what it's worth

Super dependent on the actual barrel you get. I've tried one or two that taste like wet straw, then others are delightful. It's just like any other single barrel product, depends on what's getting pulled out into the world

I don't doubt that but after a couple disappointments most people give up on it. Especially since the small batch is so solid.

I have had good luck and still pick them up. Buddy of mine got one that was really bad. He also picked up a RR10 that was undrinkable. I thought he was FOS but tried them and poured them both out.

I'm assuming no one got selected?

Just picked up a bottle at the the Liquor King in Allen . I was buying a new bottle of 1910 since I had finished my old one, and the guy ran into the back to grab a KR. Didn't even ask him. I tried it during the original release and really enjoyed it. Hopefully still slams. Still went home with the 1910 bc it might be my single favorite everyday pour. Just eeking out 1920.

Also picked up a bottle of the JD SBBP Rye (clocking in at 132.8 proof) They had several on the shelf so maybe the hysteria on that one has died off a little. Real lot excited to give it a pour.

Fresh drop on the King Ranch? Havent spotted it yet.

Check the total wine app. I could buy it from there locally in SA

The Bourye is really good if they still have it.

Was there for some runs through the mountains in early August and they didn't have either of those available.

Tried everything but the Bourye … didn't have any unfortunately. Would still love to get my hands on some.

If you didn't buy another bottle and poured yourself a 2 oz pour every single night… how long do you think it would take for you to deplete all of your bottles?

For me I think 4-5 months.

12ish days per bottle at that rate. It would be at least a couple years for me

2 years. Best guess without actually counting bottles. Could be 3 years.

I don't wanna know! Probably close to 4 years??

I think I would have enough bottles to last just over 2 years in that scenario, so realistically it would be 1 for me since I always have a pour with my wife .

Have we posted pictures of our collections lately? Maybe its time. Id love to see some of these 4-5 year bars!

How is that Redwood Empire cask strength? Picked up a bottle a couple weeks ago but haven't opened.

I hate to admit it but way more than a decade but less than a score.
