On my way to pick up some lunch I got the notification that there was a drop at one of the stores by my house. Took forever in line to get my food but headed right over to the store afterward. On my way into the store out of habit i opened the door for a lady who was walking up right behind me. Of course she now ends up in line right in front of me and just my luck gets the last ECBP bottle available.
Ended up with a 750 of Eagle Rare which isn't a bad consolation prize i guess.
One thing that shocked me was that the Mckenna 10yr was already sold out by the time i got there.

If you believe in karma i think being nice may have paid off. I was given a bottle at work this afternoon as a thanks for some stuff i did recently. The person who actually went to the store and got it is not a bourbon drinker. She handed it to me in a gift bag and said i hope you like it.
I peered in the bag and saw the 4 roses small batch bottle shape and told her thank you and it was something i certainly do enjoy. Took it completely out of the bag when i got home and saw it was actually the small batch select, which is a complete bonus and certainly takes the sting out of missing the ECBP.

Bethany Discount Liquor is always posting it. I do t know how they get so much. Usually just require you to buy another bottle in store for access.

Damn, looked in BCS last night and didn't find anything earth shattering. Total Wine had 1 bottle of Rebecca Creek 16 but I passed on the 200+ price tag. Pretty sure it was 160ish when it was first realeased?
Nobody had any clue on JD 12, but I did snag a Rebecca Creek Spanish Oak at Specs. Specs also had Heaven Hill 7, but it was over 50- paid 38 for my last bottle so passed on that!

I got a couple of RC16s - both were over 200 at specs
It is really good. Not sure it is worth the price tag and I did end up trading my second for a WFP SP, but I am enjoying the other one.

That RC16 at TW is high proof (128ish?) iirc, so could be good if you're into high proof mgp. My RC16 is at 104pf, also from TW but several weeks ago
