Same here. Heard good things about GB Honey and it tasted like dish soap. Maybe I'll sample of their $$$ products and give it another shot.
Same for me. It had the most floral taste I've ever encountered.

I'd have to agree. High West does this sometimes with their American Prairie Bourbon. "Finished in peated scotch barrels"

This is the only High West finish that I've had and thought "man that's just not very good". Typically their finishes are pretty solid

Quick question, at Still Austin and they have Nancy Fraley picks. If it is not a single barrel how do they do picks? Do they pick multiple barrels they think are good. I guess in my mind I thought most picks were single barrels, but apparently I haven't thought this through.

BTis always good and you could score a Blanton's, Eagle Rare, or EHT smB.

Woodford has a beautiful facility/tour as well. Maker's is fun for dipping your own bottle in wax.

If it ain't from Kentucky (or Indiana, at least) it ain't good.

We lucked out the last time we went to BT as my wife had just graduated from law school. We took 13 people on the tour and they happened to have Blanton's and Eagle Rare available. Each person could buy one bottle each. We are still drawing down from our haul that day.
