ABC liquor in Leander will have some allocated bottles for sale from 10-11 on Saturday. No they won't be retail but something to consider for the folks who don't mind paying a little extra.

Interesting article that I came across this morning.

I went to this liquor store last August. Really really cool place. It has a lot of old vintage bottles (as pic seen in the article with 2 guys) of different bourbon brands. Very cool to look at.

I recommend checking it out if in Louisville. Just don't buy the allocated bottles with their ridiculous price. Also has a small bar in there too

Right next to it is Merles Whiskey Kitchen. Great selection and way better prices. They also have some great picks that you can purchase if they are in stock. Both Justins and Merles are right across from Old Forester.

Cheapest I have seen W12 on a shelf was $160 in CS about a year ago. Most of the times I see it on the shelf it is at least $300.

No, this wasn't a group pic per se, just a group of buddies going in together to buy the barrel.

The SOF group (US Secret Service) did a barrel pick, however one of those guys is also in a group I'm in and he made some of the bottles available to us. They just ended up with more bottles than they had enough interest in.

The barrel had a low yield to begin with and we paid $45,000 for it, so no. I don't think $500 would it done. Not to mention the fact if someone is caught selling one of these, theyre gonna get booted from future picks.
