King of Kentucky Batch 3 at $315 or Wild Turkey Gold Foil Archives 16 year at $420. Are either buys at that price?

I have heard that the Gold Foil is good, don't get me wrong, but at that price point its going for it's probably not worth it for most. More of a connection to bourbon history in my personal opinion.

Agreed on both counts and their first wheated bourbon release to my knowledge.

I'm not much of a finished whiskey guy, but their recent Calvados cask one is great as well.

FB says they released an Armangnac Cask today at the distillery only.

FYI Mr. Liqueur in Rockdale has some Weller 12 Year, Antique 107 and Fullproof, Blanton and Eagle Rare 10 and 12 year!

I got the Antique 107 for only $126! And the Eagle Rare 12 year for $90!

Smith Street is usually a good bet with the volume they get. Last couple of weeks have gotten 107 and Full Proof. Usually have ER and Blanton's.

Not my picture below, but this was this morning at Smith Street.

I have Warehouse G, The Owl, and I think it is really good. Is it that much better than a Knob Creek 12 at $65? I am not sure it is.

I have passed on it many times based off the reviews I have read. Just not worth the money for a 700 ml bottle.

Would be a good $50-60 bottle. Nothing really stands out on it for what it is IMO.

Did you go and do the tour or just buy from duty free? Was actually a really cool tour.

Duty free but I had it multiple times on the trip. We were on a guided tour, so the distillery was not on it

I would buy it at that price. I think it retails for around $80. Not that bad of a mark up.

The CGF is really good. Got a 2 ounce sample from a buddy and both my dad and I really liked it. It's not CGF 1990 good, but it is really good. I plan on getting a bottle at MSRP if I can find it in the wild.

Hello Bourbon thread, long time lurker, first time poster here.

My wife is helping organize a gala for the Magdalena House, which is a non-profit organization in San Antonio that offers safe and transition housing for mothers and children escaping abusive situations.

The gala is doing a whiskey pull for the attendees and I have $100 to buy a bottle or two (Looking for bottles >= $50) to include and I thought I'd ask you guys for some recommendations on what I should get.

Thanks!

If it's the 2022 release, then that's about 50 lower than the lowest secondary eval for it. I'd say get it only if you want it
