Had some scenic beers this week, but hadn't joined in on the picture sharing. Here's a hazy flight in Girdwood, AK. Excited to be visiting Anchorage brewing tonight!

I was curious if you'd hit Girdwood. Beautiful drive from Seward to Anchorage.

Enjoy Anchorage Brewing!

Cool and breezy so I ran a couple errands by myself today. Pulled into a local Lobster Pound for some Steamed Clams and a beer on the way home. I was a little disappointed to be honest. This restaurant has recently changed hands. The steamers were still delicious but were a little gritty and they no longer had my favorite steamer eating beer Genesee Cream Ale. I opted for a Smuttynose Finest Kind. I added an additional pic from a couple summers ago.

Went to a James McMurtry show last night up here in Denver and dicking around putting off assembling a bunk bed my wife is having me put together before I go back to TX next week to bring them back. Started at cerebral earlier. First time back here at crooked stave in probably ~10 years, before they moved to the source.

Thanks. Just back for the weekend to visit family.

It is so hot here. The daily low temp is the high temp back home.

Steadily improving my quality of beer though.

I was trying to decide which would be my first between yellow rose and this guy.

Not as good as jellyfish IMO but it's still amazing. Definitely funkier than most west coasts I've had

Your postings reminded me that I forgot to post a couple from my recent trip back to Texas. Had a nice mix of Live Oak Pilz (my favorite beer), Live Oak Hefeweizen, and Electric Jellyfish.

And yes, it was hot. That took me back!

Found a nice outlet in my parents' new home.

Estes Park has the best farmers market on the weekend that I have ever seen. Not the answer you were looking for. Always been a fan of Odell Brewery. If you make it to Idaho Springs, Tommyknocker Brewery is pretty cool.

When I saw this at the bottle shop the other day it was a no brainer. The Big Picture a collab between Definitive Brewing in Portland and Modest Man which I've mentioned on here several times. It does not disappoint.

You guys posting Pinthouse beers disappointed me, as there is no time for me to pick any up.

Luckily, they surprisingly had Electric Jellyfish on tap at where I had lunch. My wife had the smaller one, which was in a frozen mug, which she said made it too cold and stunted the flavor. Mine was perfect though.

When we were at Brewery Silvaticus the other day, Wifey payed the tab and picked this up for me on the way out…I love her. It's was a 750ml so I shared it around. Very nice.

Very nice. Reminds me of some RRBC beers by look and description. Intinction I believe.

Today it's hot where I am. I already have mainly been drinking pils lately, and all that sounds good right now is either a lager like that or a sour like you have.

It was hot here too today. 88 but no A/C in the house. That 6.5% Saison really hit the spot. It was not sour though. Barrel aged but Saison yeast only. A nice pilsener would have hit the spot as well.

Damn, no A/C? I'd be buying a window unit or something.

This time of year highs typically upper 70s - mid 80s. Lows upper 50s- mid 60s. If you get too hot, you can always walk down to the beach, water temp 55 today.

Yup they showed up here in the springs last week. Picked these up at coaltrain while I was out on the west side of town this weekend. Although I think my usual spot out here on the east side got some as well. But damn if they're not proud of them. I think they were 7/can

Went to Four Pines Brewery in Hampton for lunch. Actually went to the pizza restaurant attached to it. Now I will review the good beers as well as the bad beers. This one is terrible. Four Pines Pilsner. It was super oxygenated and stale tasting. The Pickle Pizza was banging though. I salvaged the day with a Lawson's Sip of Sunshine, Wifey had a Lunch.

This brewery has an interesting story. It is in a small strip mall and originally opened as Blue Lobster Brewery. The beers were not that good and the owner was kind of a jerk. He went out of business and the pizza place next door bought the brewery and named it Four Pines (Pine is the last name of the owner). They knocked a hole in the wall into the restaurant so you could go back and forth between the brewery and the pizza place. Turns out they had run afoul of some New Hampshire law and were forced to close by the state liquor Nazis. They bricked the hole up and sold the brewery to a couple of brothers and Tilton Brothers Brewery was born. Tilton Brothers made a variety of great beers. Saisons, stouts, IPAs... they even made some English ales served from a beer engine. Their food was really good too. They struggled through Covid and finally shut down in 2021. The Pines bought the brewery back, cut the wall back open and started making beer again. I'm not sure what happened that allows them to own a brewery now.

A couple of nice beach beers. The Summer Pilsner from Tuckerman Brewing Company is nice and crisp and has just a touch of orange rind. The Piscataqua American Lager from Earth Eagle Brewings is good but I would have preferred it without the corn.
Interesting story about Earth Eagle. They started as a homebrew shop in Portsmouth . They acquired a 1 bbl system and started serving beer in a small tasting room. Most of the beers they served back then were gruits. Added food to their menu, expanded their kitchen, got a larger system and a second location. An American success story.

Unsure why my pictures were flagged but adding on. Stoneface IPA.

Last add on... Bud Light or Bud Heavy was all they had on the boat, went with heavy. 'Merica!

Hello, once a frequent contributor to the thread, now a long time listener, first time caller. Wondering if any of you fine gentlemen know of some good spots around Glacier NP, staying in White Fish.

First Russian River Experience - bumped into it while traveling in Denver. Pliny was bottled on 6.24.2024 surprisingly!

Whole bunch of other interesting finds too. Never seen a quadruple IPA. And they have Fat Orange Cat -which is one of the best damn IPAs I've ever had.
