I do mean stores that are beer centric anyway. Went to Deciduous Brewing Company in Newmarket New Hampshire today. Newmarket is another cool old New England Mill town. When Deciduous first opened they made some nice mixed fermentation saisons and grisettes. They seemed to change to almost all fruited sours heavily dosed with milk sugar for a while. Not a fan of those. Went today to spend a fathers day gift certificate. Had Spangle, a single hazy IPA while we were there. Picked up a case of mostly double NEIPAs but got a Kolsch and a Keller Beer as well.
Spending the 4th weekend in Hot Springs. Cheers!
Another one from yesterday afternoon. Quantum Dots from Spyglass Brewery in Nashua NH. This tiny brewery pumps out some delicious hazys.

So what beer is it? I was on an RC cruise a few years ago and they had a pretty decent beer selection from south Florida breweries.
25 years ago this week a friend came over to my house in Bryan and asked my roommate when we got a dog? "What dog? We don't have a dog?"
There was a dog asleep in the driveway under his truck. We gave him some water and I think a few hot dogs. That night when my roommate and I got home from the bar we sat in the yard and talked to him for a bit. We tried to find his owner by posting signs and I think the shelter was closed for 4th of July.
On Sunday or Monday we got a letter from the city threatening to fine us for not restraining "our dog" who was barking at passerbys. So we patched the gate in our ****ty fence and decided to name him. We wanted to name him after some dog from literature to sound smart but the only two dogs we could think of were Clifford and "Odysseus' dog from the Odyssey who was excited to see him when he came home and then died". Turns out that dogs name was Argus (or Argos in some translations).
Came across this in a grocery store in Portugal. Had to grab it.
Gus was a great dog. Hope the beer lives up to the rep.

My wife was up in LA yesterday and dropped in at Highland Park, then heard that Creature Comfort opened a location nearby this year. I had no idea. Strange move for an Athens, GA brewery but I'm not mad about it.

Couple from today. Nevergreener. A double hazy. A collaboration between Deciduous and Widowmaker Brewing. It was really good. The Porch Rocker was penance from my neighbor down the street who ran over my recycle bin. Dropped me off a 12 pack. It is good beach beer.
Blink twice if you're in danger.
Reminds me of when I went to the Port Arthur HEB and all the little coolers at the checkout (where you'd normally have soda and stuff) was just malt liquor and 40's.

Another from my trip to Deciduous. Simple Union Kolsch.
I was at Total Wine this morning picking up some Mezcal and Mexican wines for fajita night later this week and saw that they had some Juicy Bits. Only 3 weeks old, and excellent.
Not really a beach beer but HEH. Pretty solid double anyway.
Got my AP scores in today and my students absolutely crushed the national average. Celebratory beers it is.

Nope! Enjoyed a few days offline. Disney Cruise beer is pretty lacking. Lagunitas IPA is about as craft as they get.
Made it out of hot springs, arkansas right when the remnants of Beryl started pushing through. Aside from the occasional gas station malt liquor, best beer was at Superior Bathhouse Brewing. Sampled all 18 on tap.

Still drinking through my Deciduous.
Was touch and go there for a bit but made it. My wife kept rolling her eyes at me every time we stopped for gas along the way cuz i would go in and check the beer cooler for some tallboy or 40 that i had not had before. She just doesnt understand the thrill of new-beer discovery.
