Also my boss and I were talking this week about sending some beer as a congratulations to a young startup company we've been dealing with finally opening their new facility next week.

Thought it would be nice for it to be some Houston specific beers, maybe some stuff from Brash and Spindletap. Any other ideas?

Check Untappd for their beer to go menu. But I think they just have 16oz cans a bottles.

Looks like I'll be making a run to the woodlands with my wife and daughter. So instead of being tortured at the woodlands mall, I'm gonna leave them, head to spindletap to try and get some cans to go, and then go back and pick them up. Then stopping at B52 on the way back.

Yeah. Yesterday I mentioned to my wife that I wanted to go to B52 in Conroe today. That turned into, "how far is that from the woodlands?" So now, they get to shop a little and I don't have to be there, and I get to visit another brewery!

Had a pretty solid bottle share with jah003 and Hudson today.



The Jester King Aurelian Lure was my favorite sour, I think because of my affinity to everything apricot. All the sours were excellent though in their own way.



The Big Bend Barrel Aged Marfa Lights was the best Texas stout that I've ever had. Could not think of a better one out of this state. Shame that they went under. Thanks for sharing this bomb bottle, jah.



Edit to add: the unlabeled bottle on left was a 2014 Deschutes Mirror Mirror barley wine

Exactly. I was gonna do the same at B52 but we were a little pressed for time. The wife and kid didn't even get out of the car there.
