after knocking out the hog heaven/bigfoot blend last night, ive only got the campout porter left to try from beer camp. all in all ive really enjoyed this years 12 pack. theres nothing overwhelmingly mind blowing but thats not what i went into it expecting. there are, however, some really interesting offerings as well as some nice takes on classics from the international brewers.

not to dismiss the campout porter, but i think my favorite was the thai iced tea, which also was my biggest surprise. i didnt find anything bad though, and there were several that i enjoyed a whole lot, like the collabs with tree house, fullers, and surly (another surprise favorite) among others.

minor gripe with the st arnolds offering- it was delicious, dont get me wrong, but theyre not quite considered all time heavyweights around the world like ayinger or duvel.. so offering the already existing boiler room with minor changes seemed a bit lazy to me. im glad its being so well received, and i realize most of the world hasnt tried boiler room, but i wanted something more creative there.

hopefully the campout porter is a great finale, but even if not i caved and got another 12 pack over the weekend. gonna age a few like fullers, avery, etc this time around.

Not sure if it has been posted on here or not, but a fellow beer adventurist that some on here may know has passed away. Tucker Keene from DFW was found dead on the 12th.

Man I opened a supplication for dinner last night, then had some awful stomach rumbling going on about half way through.. I feel so ashamed I couldn't finish it and had to pour it out. I was looking forward to drinking it since I put it in the fridge on Friday.

PtE ends its 8 year reign as number 1, but IPAs still rule.

Talk about a meteoric rise in success for a brewery. I recall visiting the weldwerks booth a couple years ago at GABF and hanging out while I went from beer to beer. I can only imagine the lines y'all will have this year.
