They have 12 packs of Oberon in cans at total wine in Houston. Or at least they did as of a couple weeks ago. Need to pick some up for the river.

holy **** xocoveza charred is fantastic. drinking one from batch 3, 6 months in bourbon barrels- noteworthy because i thought i had read some reviews mentioning at least one batch was only aged 3 months in barrels, but i could be mistaken. as good as this is, I'm hoping to luck into some extra anejo or whatever the tequila barrel version is called, and soon

I'd say that's probably the best situation you can hope for if you want more and better craft beer while keeping it out of the hands of the monsters. Good on them for cashing in while retaining control of their product.

Been years since I've had one of these. I think I'm always trying to find new beers to try and often forget about the classics. Great bang for the buck.

Does RU-55 get distributed to Houston? Can't remember.

Their blog only mentioned it should see distribution. I would think Houston will get some.

Talked to one of the of the employees last night. Told him I loved how quiet it was... He said he loved it too. He said if they aren't releasing something red it's usually pretty chill. I could see RU sticking around for a few weekends at this rate...

I had Queens Order... Wasn't a huge fan. Way more bitterness than I was expecting. Ol Oi was delicious as always. The Fitzhugh IPA they have on is extremely good... Like better than Yellow Rose good.

Ended up trying a sip of the Queen's Order. I liked it more than you did I think, but maybe because I had changed my expectations from a sweeter beer to a more tart beer based off of what you said. Who knows!

Got a glass of the Cerveza de Mezquite and found it very enjoyable. Was expecting more of a malty base beer with just a little twist, but it was a nice farmhouse actually.

More importantly though, found out that they did in fact bottle Foudreweizen, but that they are just conditioning still! Here's my glass of the great beer that is Foudreweizen off their tap. I had missed Jester King very much!
